By decree of the President of Ukraine, Gennadii Butkevych has been awarded the Order of Merit, third class
The founder of BGV Group Management, Gennadii Butkevych, was awarded the Order of Merit, Third Class, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. The relevant decree was published on the official website of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Gennadii Butkevych was recognized for his significant contribution to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, courage and dedication in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, substantial personal contribution to the development of various spheres of public life, advocacy for the country’s national interests, and conscientious fulfillment of his professional duties.
During difficult times for the country, Ukrainian business plays an important role in supporting the economy, communities, and the people defending Ukraine. Gennadii Butkevych’s BGV Group Management comprises five business areas and develops projects in mining, energy and infrastructure, retail, development, as well as education and sports.
Charity is an important component of Gennadii Butkevych’s activities. The BGV Charity Fund, established by his family, systematically supports the military, communities, children, and civilians. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than UAH 1.6 billion has been allocated to charitable assistance. Areas of support include assistance to Ukraine’s Defense Forces, educational and sports projects, as well as social and humanitarian initiatives.
The state award presented to Gennadii Butkevych is recognition of his many years of contribution to Ukraine’s development and the principles he consistently upholds in his business, charitable, and public activities.
