BGV Group of Companies continued its long-standing tradition of supporting the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, held in Kyiv on August 24. The BGV Charity Fund served as the event’s general partner. The summit brought together the spouses of heads of state, representatives of governments and international organizations, experts, and public opinion leaders.

Held on Ukraine’s Independence Day, the summit was titled “World 2026: Finding Stability in Times of Uncertainty.” This year, first ladies and gentlemen from 14 countries took part in the event, along with the heads of state of Ukraine, Finland, Estonia, and Lithuania.

Participants shared their experiences of resilience and discussed what helps societies adapt to crises and continue to develop under difficult conditions. One practical outcome of the Sixth Summit was the presentation of the Global Vocabulary of Resilience, a publication collecting 38 terms and concepts from different countries, as well as social practices, institutional models, and cultural approaches to building resilience.

BGV’s participation in the summit builds on the Group’s ongoing broad support for human capital, education, science, and initiatives that share Ukraine’s experience with the world and unite countries around common challenges and solutions. The Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen is an international public-diplomacy platform founded in 2021 by Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine. Each year, the platform brings together the spouses of heads of state, experts, representatives of governments and international organizations, and public opinion leaders in Kyiv to discuss issues that matter to society and find practical solutions.
