BGV continues to support talented youth: named scholarships awarded at Zhytomyr Polytechnic for the fifth time

Posted on 11/06/2026 by News Manager | 21 Views

A ceremony for awarding BGV named scholarships was held at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. For the third consecutive year, the company has recognized students who demonstrate outstanding achievements in academic, scientific, innovative, and community activities. This year, 13 university students became scholarship recipients. Over the next six months, they will receive monthly financial support in the amount of UAH 7,000.

The scholarship program was launched in 2024 at the initiative of Hennadii Butkevych, founder of BGV Group Management, philanthropist, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. Its goal is to support talented young people, develop students’ scientific and technical potential, and create additional opportunities for the professional development of future specialists in Ukraine.

“About 60 students have already become recipients of this scholarship program. In this way, BGV seeks to motivate young and promising students. That is why the decision was made to establish a scholarship fund every year. Today, the company has allocated another tranche of UAH 1.3 million for the next two semesters,” said Viktor Yevdokymov, Managing Director for Education, Science, and Innovation at BGV.

According to Oksana Oliinyk, Rector of Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, the scholarship program covers students from all faculties of the university, as well as participants in its innovation ecosystem.

“This scholarship is not only financial assistance but also a sign of trust in potential of young people.. It is intended to give students the opportunity not to look for quick part-time jobs, but to invest more time in their own development, education, research, and innovative ideas. Initiatives like this demonstrate that partnership between business and a university can create real opportunities for students — not only to motivate them but also to help them grow, act more boldly, and realize their potential in Ukraine,” notes Oksana Oliinyk.

The students themselves say that this distinction is not only financial support but also confirmation that their efforts and achievements are noticed and valued. According to them, the scholarship motivates them to continue developing, participate in scientific research, implement their own projects, and achieve new professional goals.

As BGV develops businesses and invests in new projects, the group is convinced that sustainable development is impossible without the development of human potential. That is why it consistently supports educational and scientific initiatives, creating additional opportunities for young people to study, conduct research, and implement their own ideas. After all, the future engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and managers who are studying at universities today will determine what Ukraine will be like tomorrow.
