American University Kyiv graduates its first bachelor’s class and third cohort of master’s students

American University Kyiv (AUK) has celebrated the graduation of its first bachelor’s class and its third cohort of master’s students. The milestone is particularly significant for BGV Group Management, one of the university’s founding partners, which has supported AUK’s development since its establishment in 2020.

This year, 18 students received bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Global Management. The university’s first bachelor’s students began their studies in the autumn of 2022, just six months after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Despite the challenges of wartime, they successfully completed their education under US academic standards, becoming the first graduates of AUK’s bachelor’s programs.

The university also celebrated its third graduating class of master’s students, with 43 graduates completing programs in Global Management, Technology Leadership & AI, Software Engineering, and a dual-degree program with Arizona State University. As part of their studies, the master’s students presented research and practical solutions addressing current business and technological challenges. Their projects focused on topics ranging from artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud technologies to business process transformation, leadership development, and management in wartime conditions.

A particularly significant milestone was the graduation of the first master’s class from AUK’s Dnipro campus. The event holds special importance for BGV, which serves as the university’s strategic partner in expanding access to modern higher education across Ukraine’s regions. Through this partnership, students from Dnipro and the surrounding region can earn an internationally recognized, English-language education without leaving their home region.

The partnership between BGV and AUK is built on a shared vision of education as a key driver of Ukraine’s economic development. Strong universities help prepare a new generation of managers, technology leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who will shape the country’s future. Within this cooperation, particular emphasis is placed on developing management, business, and IT programs with a strong international component.

For BGV, this partnership is an investment in improving the quality of Ukrainian higher education and strengthening the country’s human capital. AUK’s academic programs combine rigorous education, practical experience, and international standards to prepare the next generation of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and technology professionals. These specialists are expected to play a key role in driving innovation, economic growth, and Ukraine’s post-war recovery.

Alongside this landmark graduation, American University Kyiv is actively conducting its 2026 admissions campaign. The university is accepting applications for bachelor’s and master’s programs at its Kyiv and Dnipro campuses. All programs are taught in English according to US academic standards and offer students the opportunity to earn a dual degree with Arizona State University. This year, AUK offers 10 bachelor’s programs in Kyiv, including two new programs — Agribusiness Management and Cybersecurity — as well as four bachelor’s programs in Dnipro. At the master’s level, the university offers four programs in Kyiv, including a new Master’s in Psychology, and three master’s programs in Dnipro. Detailed admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and application deadlines are available on AUK’s official website.

BGV Group Management’s partnership with American University Kyiv began in April 2020, when the company became one of the university’s founding partners. BGV helped establish the conditions for launching a modern university in Ukraine in cooperation with Arizona State University. AUK officially began operations on February 3, 2022, and welcomed its first students in September of the same year, offering three bachelor’s and two master’s programs. In June 2025, BGV supported the university’s next stage of growth by helping launch bachelor’s programs in Dnipro. The company also became one of the initiators of a UAH 200 million scholarship program that enables 200 students to receive funding for their studies.
