Ukrainian Border Guards Receive Unique Mobile Camps Thanks to BGV Charity Fund and German Partners

Posted on 09/05/2025 by Media | 32 Views

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has taken delivery of four modern mobile camps, provided through a partnership between the German company KB Container and the BGV Charity Fund.

Each camp consists of a series of interconnected containers, creating fully equipped accommodation for personnel in field conditions. In total, over 140 mobile modules provide more than 2,400 m² of living and service space, fitted out with sleeping quarters, sanitary facilities, kitchens and power-generator units.

“Comfort and mobility are critically important for our border guards to serve effectively. These new modular camps will offer modern facilities for our personnel, increasing their endurance and readiness to carry out missions under any circumstance,” emphasized representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

More than 370 tons of steel went into manufacturing the containers, and over 400 hours of engineering work were devoted to the project’s design. In terms of equipment and finish, these camps are the best solutions ever produced by KB Container — and even exceed the standards established for the German military.

The modular camps will be used by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to house and train border guards, ensuring they have comfortable conditions for duty in a variety of environments.

“This project demonstrates how international cooperation and the support of our European partners help Ukraine build modern infrastructure for its defenders. From the first negotiations with our German partners to the delivery of the containers, nearly two years have passed. This is our largest undertaking to date. We are grateful to our partners in Germany for their trust and collaboration, as well as to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality. Every container, every square metre of these camps brings us one step closer to strengthening Ukraine’s security and providing dignified conditions for those who stand in its defence,” said Polina Aldoshyna, Chair of the BGV Charity Fund.

The handover of the mobile camps represents the latest stage in the strategic cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the fields of security and humanitarian assistance.
