Over 100,000 families with babies have received aid from BGV Charity Fund
Supporting children and families is one of the priority activity areas for the BGV Charity Fund, founded by the family of Gennadii Butkevych. In October 2025, the fund completed the sixth phase of its large-scale social initiative, Baby Care Kits.
As part of the project, the BGV Charity Fund, which operates under the BGV Group Management umbrella, and its partners distributed 10,000 baby care kits to families in front-line and border regions and to families from vulnerable groups.
The packages include essential items for newborn care: clothing, hygiene and skincare products, diapers, wipes, toys, and other valuable items. The initiative focuses on front-line, de-occupied, and border regions where humanitarian needs remain most urgent. The geographic scope covers nine regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Kherson.
Assistance is also extended to socially vulnerable families nationwide, including large families, families of combatants, internally displaced persons (IDPs), parents with disabilities, single mothers or fathers, low-income households, families with unemployed parents, those raising children with disabilities, as well as families of fallen or missing soldiers, prisoners of war, or those directly affected by hostilities or occupation. Nearly 2,500 baby kits were provided specifically to such socially vulnerable households.
The Baby Care Kits project began in the summer of 2022. Since then, the BGV Charity Fund has implemented six waves of distribution and reached more than 60,000 families in 23 regions of Ukraine. Aid has been delivered to over 3,500 localities, from major cities to the most remote villages.
Under its children’s support initiatives, the fund launched the Eco-Conscious from the Cradle project. Ukrainian families received eco-diaper kits for children from birth to three years old. This project aimed to reduce families’ financial burden while cutting harmful waste by promoting reusable diaper pants with replaceable inserts. Together with international partners, the fund delivered this aid to 40,000 families across Ukraine.
Over the past three years, the BGV Charity Fund has provided essential newborn kits and eco-friendly baby products to more than 100,000 families with babies throughout Ukraine.
