BGV Group Management, the investment group led by Gennadii Butkevych, has once again been included in NV’s annual ranking of Ukraine’s top donors. The list features 70 major private companies that have provided the most significant support for defense and humanitarian needs since the start of the full-scale invasion. BGV appears in the “Business Groups” category.

Since February 24, 2022, BGV Group’s companies, together with the BGV Charitable Foundation, have provided approximately UAH 1.5 billion in assistance. During this period, the team has implemented more than 100 charitable projects and engaged over 50 partners, including major international companies and organizations, in collaborative initiatives to support Ukrainians. Funding has been allocated to defense needs, humanitarian programs, medical institutions, educational initiatives, and the restoration of social infrastructure.

A key focus for the BGV Group of companies remains support for the military, with nearly UAH 387 million allocated directly to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds have been used to purchase and deliver equipment, gear, and personal protective equipment for units conducting daily combat missions and in need of modern resources to save lives and strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. Additionally, with support from BGV, approximately UAH 90 million in containers were delivered to establish modular camps for the State Border Service of Ukraine. This project provided improved accommodation for personnel and enhanced the units’ infrastructure capacity. Another important focus is support for wounded Ukrainian defenders through an international partnership with Estonia’s government. Prosthetic care for military personnel is provided at the Ida-Tallinna Keskhaigla clinic in Tallinn. Since 2023, 65 modern bionic prostheses have been fitted for 51 Ukrainians, with the program’s total budget exceeding EUR 6.5 million.

Among the largest humanitarian initiatives are projects supporting families with newborns, through which more than 100,000 sets of essential goods have been delivered. These projects reached nearly 10,000 settlements across Ukraine, with a total budget of almost UAH 350 million.

Support for education and cultural heritage is also a key component of BGV’s activities. Through an international partnership project with the German charity #WeAreAllUkrainians and Plan International, more than 5,000 children from socially vulnerable groups received tablets to facilitate distance learning. The Foundation also served as the general partner of the exhibition “Treasures of Crimea. Return” at the National Museum of History of Ukraine, supported the renovation of the Bucha Children’s School of Arts named after Levko Revutsky, and is implementing long-term psychosocial programs in Zhytomyr through the Center for Resilience and the youth space “SviTY.”

The systematic and transparent social work of the BGV group is recognized by both national and international awards received by the BGV Corporate Charity Foundation. Notably, the foundation ranked fifth among private foundations in Forbes Ukraine’s TOP-50 list of charitable organizations. For the third consecutive year, it has appeared among the country’s largest donors according to NV. Additionally, the foundation was included in the TOP-100+ ranking of public, transparent charitable organizations in Ukraine, reflecting its commitment to openness, consistency, and high standards of reporting.

The Foundation has joined six humanitarian clusters—education, protection, child protection, food security, health, housing, and іcientific and technological progress—strengthening coordination with both national and international partners. BGV also became a member of the European Eurochild network and successfully completed verification on the Philanthropy in Ukraine platform, confirming the transparency of its activities and expanding access to grant opportunities and the professional philanthropic community.

In addition, the Foundation launched its first crowdfunding campaign on the international platform GoFundMe. Collaboration with this global platform has enhanced the foundation’s international visibility and opened new channels for raising resources to support veterans’ reintegration programs.

According to the rating, the total assistance provided by the largest donors amounted to UAH 120 billion. The NV editorial team contacted more than 150 of Ukraine’s largest private companies and business groups to collect data on their contributions to defense and humanitarian needs since the beginning of the full-scale war. Ultimately, 70 companies were included in the final ranking.
