BGV Group Management represented Ukrainian business at the European Parliament of Enterprises, held at the European Parliament in Brussels. The event brought together business leaders, EU institutions, and national chambers of commerce and industry to discuss Europe’s economic priorities and key development challenges.
During the meeting, Sergii Voitsekhovskyi, a member of the BGV Board of Directors, addressed over 750 participants with a speech, emphasizing Ukraine’s role in strengthening Europe’s resource and technological security.
Speaking at the event, Sergii Voitsekhovskyi said BGV is among the leaders in Ukraine’s critical raw materials sector. He noted that the company’s graphite initiative, BGV Graphite, is the first Ukrainian project recognized by the European Commission as a strategic project for the EU. In partnership with firms in Germany, Austria, and Finland, the company has developed a test battery using 100% Ukrainian anode material, which he said meets advanced international standards.
Critical minerals are not just a future issue but a cornerstone of Europe’s current resource security. The EU depends on China for over 97% of its anode materials, and similar monopolies persist across other critical raw materials.
“At BGV, we’re developing six critical-mineral projects—particularly graphite, beryllium, molybdenum, and rare earth elements. Ukraine can supply more than two-thirds of the materials listed in the European Critical Raw Materials Act. Our country has proven its resilience and reliability, and we’re ready to be a long-term partner in ensuring Europe’s independence from external suppliers of critical raw materials,” said Sergii Voitsekhovskyi.
BGV Group Management expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its partnership, the invitation to join the Ukrainian delegation, and its support during the European Parliament of Enterprises.
