BGV social contracts in action: a new modern boiler house for Olevsk territorial community school
Perha Mining Company LLC and Titanium Apatite Group LLC, both part of BGV Group Management, continue to implement projects within a social agreement with the Olevsk United Territorial Community. Recently, the companies completed the construction and launched a modern school boiler house in the village of Yurove, Olevsk district, Zhytomyr region. Thanks to BGV Group Management, Perha Mining Company, and Titanium Apatite Group, the local village school received a new, convenient, efficient heating system, which finally allowed students and teachers of Yurove School to conduct classes in the warmth.
Ihor Talakh, the head of the village of Yurove in the Olevsk united territorial community, said: “The Olevsk community is the largest in Ukraine in terms of territory, and all settlements are scattered. Many of them use furnace heating. This is a feature of the region because there’s no other alternative. And the local school is no exception. Here we heated the room with furnaces. The two heaters the school had were twenty stoves. The heating process was very complicated: they needed to chop firewood, bring it here, store it somewhere. This is very painstaking and hard work. The second problem was the constant loss of heat. From four o’clock in the morning, the school staff started to warm up the school, but while the students were coming, it was getting cold again on the premises; there wasn’t enough heat. The new boiler house has solved several problems: from logistic and financial ones to the issue of really warm premises for our children.”
“It’s very warm and nice in the classrooms now. I want to thank people with warm souls. Thanks to their warm souls, we and our children are warm and comfortable. Thanks to the representatives of the Perha mining company and Titanium Apatite Group, who made us comfortable in such a short time, we meet the cold autumn and winter with modern and high-quality heating of the school,” added Halyna Talakh, principal of Yurove Secondary School.
To recap, over the past few years, the Titanium Apatite Group and Perha Mining Company have implemented several important projects under social agreements for the economic and cultural development of the Olevsk Territorial Community. For example, a computer class was organized at the expense of companies in the village of Perha, Olevsk district, Zhytomyr region; educational equipment for a local school was purchased; a first-aid post was completely repaired; the village of Perha was fully provided with street lighting, and a playground was set up at a local kindergarten. Through the company’s efforts, the first-aid post was renovated, the bridge in the village of Rudnia Perhanska was repaired, and financial assistance was provided to the Olevsk Vocational Lyceum and the Olevsk Museum of Local Lore. Companies also regularly transfer funds to prevent the spread of coronavirus within the region. The total amount of funds allocated for financing projects under social agreements amounted to more than 6 million hryvnias.
