BGV joins Ukrainian Week in Washington, D.C. as international interest in Ukrainian CRM grows
The team of BGV Group Management took part in Ukrainian Week 2026 in Washington — an annual platform for strategic dialogue between Ukraine and the United States that brings together representatives of government, business, investment funds, think tanks, and the expert community. Throughout the week, participants discussed security, economic, and industrial priorities for cooperation, including the development of strategic sectors and the attraction of investment into Ukraine’s economy.
One of the key focuses of the visit was the Innovation and Regional Development forum, organized by the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council in partnership with BGV. As part of the Energy and Minerals panel, BGV Board member Serhii Voitsekhovskyi joined the discussion on unlocking Ukraine’s natural resource potential, the investment readiness of the mining and related sectors, and the key role of the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund in the development of the energy and minerals sectors.
During the panel discussion, Serhii Voitsekhivskyi presented updated information on BGV’s priority projects in the critical materials segment. He emphasized that for the company this is not only about expanding extraction, but about building a full-fledged industrial ecosystem integrated into global supply chains. He highlighted the increased investment readiness of the projects, preparation for scaling, and the transition from strategic declarations to the practical implementation of partnership initiatives between Ukraine and the United States in the field of resource cooperation.
“Today, critical materials are not only an issue of industrial development, but also a component of global economic security. Ukraine has the resource base and technological capacity to become part of diversified international supply chains for the United States and Europe. For us, it is important that this development is based on the principles of transparency, partnership, and compliance with international standards — with a shift from raw materials to high value-added products,” he said.
In this context, cooperation with the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund was highlighted: BGV has submitted a package of documents to the Fund for consideration of its project under the established procedure, with the aim of potentially attracting financing for the development of its critical materials business.
Another key point of the presentation was progress in achieving high-quality performance indicators for graphite products of the BGV Graphite Project at the Balakhivka deposit. Serhii Voitsekhivskyi reported that the company has confirmed that Ukrainian graphite meets battery-grade material requirements for use in lithium-ion battery production. In 2025 and early 2026, independent laboratory and technological testing was conducted by the US company American Energy Technologies (Illinois, USA). The results confirmed the possibility of producing graphite with a purity level of 99.999+%, as well as the production of spheronized graphite (CSPG) used in anodes for lithium-ion batteries. These results demonstrate the project’s technological readiness for further integration into international manufacturing value chains.
It was also noted separately that BGV’s graphite project is currently completing the feasibility study stage and has moved into the engineering and design phase.
