Kyiv hosted the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, initiated by Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska. For the third time, BGV Group Management, including the BGV Charitable Foundation, sponsored the event with a mission to drive concrete positive change worldwide.
This year’s Summit focused on education – a priority BGV has supported for years, creating opportunities for young people to receive quality learning and reveal their talents.
In particular, the Summit discussed the topics of access to education, teaching, innovations in this area, and the role in promoting peace and humanitarian values.
The event convened spouses of world leaders, education ministers, government officials, teachers, innovators, and Nobel laureates. Beyond panel discussions, participants delivered lectures at leading universities across Ukraine.
“The Summit shows that education is a path that shapes a person, their worldview, and therefore models the future of the nation, states, and the whole world. Today, even as Ukraine endures pain, it speaks to the world with strength and leadership, urging everyone to make education a global priority that will define the world of tomorrow,” the event’s organizers said.

In recent years, the group has allocated more than UAH 135 million to universities, technology startups, scientific research, educational programs, and other initiatives. This sustained commitment reflects the company’s vision of Ukraine’s future as a knowledge-driven, intellectual economy. BGV’s supported projects include American University Kyiv and Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.
