
BGV Group Management joins list of top private investors in Ukrainian economy – NV rating
BGV Group Management, led by Hennadii Butkevych, has been recognized as one of the top private investors in the Ukrainian economy during russia’s full-scale war. The latest report by New Voice Media highlights the 50 most influential companies and enterprises that contributed significantly to the growth of their businesses and the country’s economy during wartime.
According to reputable media sources, BGV Group Management has earned a permanent spot among the top investors and philanthropists. Despite the ongoing invasion, the company remains dedicated to its projects and investing in Ukraine’s development. The capital investments made by BGV in Ukrainian assets from January 1, 2022, to June 1, 2024, have reached UAH 3.8 billion [over $92 mln – ed.]. In 2022, the amount reached UAH 1.25 billion [more than $30 mln – ed.], while in 2023, it amounted to UAH 1.33 billion [approximately $32 mln – ed]. In just the first half of 2024, the company invested 1.22 billion hryvnias.
To create a list of the “TOP 50 largest private investors in the country during the full-scale war,” the editors at NV reviewed the capital investments in Ukrainian assets among over 160 prominent companies in the national market over the last two and a half years. They also took into account any agreements for asset purchases in Ukraine. Using this information, the publication compiled a ranking of the 50 companies based on their investment sizes in hryvnias. Notably, the list excluded state-owned companies and private enterprises whose owners have faced charges in Ukraine.
Overall, NV reports that during the full-scale Russian aggression, the top 50 Ukrainian private companies collectively invested 224 billion hryvnias [over $5 bln – ed.] in business development within the country.
