
BGV Group Management ranks among Ukraine’s top donors for second year in a row – NV
According to the New Voice publication, Gennadii Butkevych’s investment company, BGV Group Management, has ranked among Ukraine’s leading donors for the second consecutive year.
The ranking features 70 major private companies operating in Ukraine that have provided the most significant support for defense and humanitarian needs between February 24, 2022, and March 1, 2025. BGV Group Management is listed under the “Business Groups” category. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, BGV Group Management companies—including the BGV Charitable Foundation—have contributed a total of UAH 1.2 billion [over EUR 25 million – ed.] in aid for defense and humanitarian purposes.
BGV Group Management has consistently been recognized among Ukrainian companies that provide large-scale, systematic assistance. The Group’s charitable efforts focus on humanitarian initiatives, support for vulnerable groups, educational and children’s projects, and aid for Ukraine’s defenders. The majority of funds—66 percent—are allocated to crisis response projects, including:
- Support for children: The charitable foundation is currently implementing its sixth wave of assistance for newborns.
- Assistance to older adults: Initiatives include providing food and hygiene kits and supplying geriatric care homes with essential medical equipment, furniture, clothing, and dishware.
- Support for medical institutions: The Group funds the provision of medical equipment, ambulances, and generators to healthcare facilities.
- Creating safe community conditions: Efforts focus on arranging shelters and renovating educational institutions and other socially significant sites.
A separate key area is support for the military, with more than UAH 325 million [almost EUR 7 million—ed.] allocated for the purchase of equipment and technology, prosthetics, and rehabilitation specialists’ training.
According to the ranking, the largest donors in Ukraine have collectively provided UAH 82.4 billion [almost EUR 2 billion – ed.] in aid. The NV editorial team surveyed more than 150 of the country’s largest private companies and business groups, asking them to report the amount they have allocated to defense and humanitarian needs since the start of the full-scale war. The final ranking includes 70 companies.
