10 years of partnership based on shared values: BGV is Usyk’s official partner during his rematch with Dubois
Hennadii Butkevych’s investment company, BGV Group Management, is partnering with Oleksandr Usyk for his highly anticipated rematch against Daniel Dubois, set to take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London. The relationship between Butkevych’s business and Usyk has lasted over a decade and is built on shared values — strength of character, dedication to goals, discipline, and a sense of responsibility to society.
This year, BGV Group Management supported the entire preparation process for the fight, from the training camp in Spain to Usyk’s participation in the rematch. In addition, the company joined in backing the charitable efforts led by Usyk’s team surrounding the event. Notably, on July 18, a Business & Charity Gala Dinner will be held in London, organized by the Usyk Foundation and the Ready to Fight platform, with support from Butkevych’s investment group. The goal of the event is to raise £2.5 million to build homes for 64 Ukrainian families who lost theirs due to the war.
Oleksandr Usyk says: “True friends don’t disappear — they’ve been with me for years, and I truly value that. Today, my team includes over 100 people. It’s a full-time effort: training, rehabilitation, logistics, security, organizing travel, preparing for the fight, media work — all of this demands enormous resources. I’m grateful to the partners who not only stand by me but also help support the day-to-day operations of a large international team and take part in charitable initiatives. Together, we can achieve more — both for sport and for our country.”
For BGV Group Management, supporting sports is not only a key area of business but also a vital part of its social mission. Since 2019, the company has been making significant investments in sports, viewing it as a way to drive development — not just of individual teams, but of entire communities and regions.
Gennadii Butkevych, founder of BGV Group Management, explains: “The values that shape champions in sports are very similar to those that drive success in business: perseverance, teamwork, discipline, the ability to make tough decisions under pressure — and to win. We see the development of Ukrainian sports as one of crucial parts of our mission. That’s why we support not only boxing, but also football, golf, equestrian sports, youth sports and more.”
