Ukraine in the spotlight of the global mining community: BGV presents projects at Europe’s leading forums
Interest in Ukraine’s critical minerals and rare-earth elements is rapidly growing. Ukrainian mining projects are being explored by American companies as well as representatives from European, Asian, and African mining sectors. Over the past few weeks alone, BGV Group Management has participated in a series of major international events, conducting more than 20 negotiations with large mining and technology companies, as well as international financial institutions.
Specifically, in November and early December, the BGV team presented its CRM projects and collaboration opportunities during the Rebuild Ukraine forum (Warsaw, Poland), the annual Raw Materials Week (Brussels, Belgium), and one of the largest mining conferences, Resourcing Tomorrow (London, UK). The BGV projects in critical minerals were also discussed during a European Commission workshop dedicated to investment projects in Ukraine under the Call for Expressions of Interest.*
“Ukraine has significant geological potential, while Europe demonstrates high demand and political will to localize supply. Therefore, Ukrainian mining opportunities, and specifically BGV projects, are currently attracting interest not only from major institutional or investment partners, but also from potential off-takers (buyers who guarantee the purchase of products in advance), technology suppliers, and others. Whereas a year ago, at the international level, our company primarily attracted attention for its graphite project, today the range of interest has expanded. We now see additional international focus on zirconium, rare-earth elements, beryllium, and uranium,” said Serhii Voitsekhovskyi, a member of the Board of Directors of BGV Group Management.
Recall that at the end of November, BGV Group Management expanded its partnership with the Finnish company Metso — a global leader in equipment and technological solutions for the mining and metallurgical industries. The companies are moving to a new phase of cooperation within the Yastrebetskyi deposit project, focusing on zircon-fluorite-rare-earth ores. This is already the second joint project between BGV and Metso. Previously, the companies collaborated on a graphite project.

*Call for Expressions of Interest — is a preliminary selection stage during which the organizer publicly invites companies or specialists to submit brief information about their experience and capabilities. The goal is to identify interested participants and select those who may be invited to further stages — a full tender, submission of proposals, or negotiations.
